clean creeks and ocean...
Water from our storm drains goes
into our creeks and ocean. Here are some ways to make a
difference at work and help protect our creeks and ocean.
Use less water.

Think twice before you create
dirty water that will flow down the street into the storm
drain .

use car washes to wash company
vehicles.

don't hose off equipment that may have toxic substances on it.

dispose of used motor oil and hazardous materials properly at
your local hazardous waste facility.

don't pour or flush toxic substances into the
sewer system (and try using alternative cleaning products, to
use less chemicals).

businesses in the Food and Restaurant, Automotive, and
Construction industries, or businesses using chemicals, see the City of
Santa Barbara's Best Management Practices.
